At his studio in the Austrian countryside, woodcarverMaximilian Neukufler selects the perfect piece of local cherry wood from which to carve a one-of-a-kind KitchenBuddy. The gently curved spoon-spatula hybrid head acts like an extension of the chef’s hand, perfect for mixing, scooping, turning, and serving. Maximilian sculpts slowly and thoughtfully using only hand tools and traditional techniques, the marks of which remain visible throughout the surfaces of the striking utensil. Light, natural, and comfortable in the hand, the KitchenBuddy design will find as many uses in the dining room. The cherry is finished with mineral oil before Max completes the artful culinary tool with a handle of green and yellow acrylic paint.
