Part of the Virunga Coffee Company’s efforts to revive specialty coffee in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joe Bean has partnered with them to produce their Congo Hutwe Mill coffee. Hailing from the Kivu province, where growing conditions are characterized by fertile volcanic soil and abundant sunshine, Congo Hutwe Mill is a juicy and fruit forward coffee.

Lightly roasted to accentuate it’s fruit characteristics, this coffee is best enjoyed via manual brew. Pour-over, drip, and Aeropress are the best ways to bring out its fruity notes of raspberry, blueberry, lime, and bergamot orange.
