Crafted by the man himself, bladesmith and damascus artist Bob Kramer of Washington, we present this rare opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind handmade damascus chef knife with exhibition-grade ironwood handle. Made in 2009, this knife has had one owner, was used lightly three times, was never sharpened, honed, or stropped, and was cleaned and polished by hand to ready it for this sale. Both blade and handle are in exceptional condition. As expected of Bob’s work, as a tool this incredible knife leaves nothing to want; tall, convex bevels culminate at a thin, hard, razor-sharp edge; a full-distal taper takes the spine down to a slim, pointed tip for detail work; a slight tough of lateral flexibility is present in the final inches of damascus; and spine and choil have been polished and rounded for comfort. For grip, in Bob’s recognizable style, and material combination, the stunning ironwood is matched to polished brass bolsters, two polished brass pins, and a single ‘Kramer’s mosaic pin in the center of the full-tang constructed handle.
